Eric Pulsifer - Writer/Editor

Eric Pulsifer, an independent writer/editor and semiretired journalist who writes The Column brings more material to the table here. To him, all of life is a story waiting to be told. In addition to writing, he is a part-time musician and full-time troublemaker.

Formerly of Riverside/San Bernardino, CA, with a few stops along the way:

- Earned an Associated Press award for in-depth coverage in Arizona.

- A year later, in journalistic exile, working in a casino in Nevada.

- Back in newspaper work for a few years, including with a struggling, take-no-prisoners weekly in Arizona. The paychecks bounced a lot, but the work was fun and the writing good.

- Stuck in southwest Indiana, long enough to drop off one wife and pick up another.

- Ended up driving a taxi in South Carolina for 10 years, with occasional, year-long side trips to Tennessee and North Carolina.

- Played with several bands in South Carolina, as many as three at a time.

- Experienced more dysfunction than the law allowed, culminating with a breakdown in late 2007.

Now in 2011, back in action. More ferocious than ever, with a whole 'nother way of looking at things, (allegedly) kinder and gentler, but with all the edginess as before. Still with an almost pathological need to stir things up, spread some laughter, provoke folks to good works, and to open people's minds.
